English Church Embroidery 1833-1953 (A Review)

Kerry reviews Mary's book about the history of English ecclesiastical embroidery.

I don't think many of the designs covered are needlepoint.  I think this is mostly about embroidery, but I do not know for sure.  The review is thorough but the shop is a framing and counted thread-sampler shop so they may have just not mentioned needlepoint kneelers or cushions.

I find these little odd items so interesting. Speaking of....how does one communicate with the Russian needle worker in your Blog List? The one with the off-the-wall translations? I'd like to let her know that someone in California is reading her blog , and appreciates her needlework. Using the regular comment line doesn't seem to work.

if the comment box doesn't work, I have no idea. Try translating the blog and see if there's an email link somewhere....
