Fast forward to 2014. As of this morning, Needlepoint has 5877 members. They just all showed up! I didn't invite anyone, although I think I did mention it on Blog once after people started arriving uninvited. I now know what Internet billionaires feel like when their ship comes in (minus the cash of course).
Now there is a magnet designed by Rogue Needlepoint in conjunction with the online shop Needle Little More using the nickname of the group (Cynthia Baldwin's husband came up with it and it stuck). Stitchers who belong to the group are starting to add it to their collection.

Here's where you can pick up your own Needlepoint Nation magnet if you are interested. Say hi to Jill for me, ok?

I should add that I have no affiliation with the companies that designed and sell this magnet and I do not profit from it. Neither do the other admins I
I should also add my nieces and cousins have moved on and rarely use Facebook any more. I am terrified of asking what social media they use now....

LOL, just think what could happen if you gave out your address! It is a great group with so many wonderful ideas! I check in everyday!
Thank you. Jane, for this wonderful group you put together! Even if I was by accident! Your nieces and nephews may use Instagram, by the way.
Anne, I'm sure everyone is using Instagram and many other things I've never heard of. There are only so many hours in the day, though!
Pat, I am pretty safe as my address is so difficult to access. But you may have noticed that Carole keeps mentioning how I am going to make lemon bars for six thousand there. I don't even know what lemon bars are! If all those people show up, they are going to have to eat brownies and fudge!
Love Needlepoint Nation! Don't often say much there, but the works of art posted by so many talented stitchers are an inspiration! Thank you, Tara and Carole for managing this terrific FB group.

You are welcome. Not to worry about not talking much. Plenty of us are willing to take up the slack. LOL Hugs from the Chatty Cathy of CH
Oh Jane, our stories are similar. At my daughters wedding, several years ago, 'the cousins' pleaded with me to 'GET ON FB! so we can keep more in touch.' I do see them once in a while but mostly its been reconnecting for me. Your blog and 'group' have been wonderful instigators for encouraging me to take the plunge back into designing! Super happy we bumped into each other and hope to meet you face to face some day if you ever come out of your lovely mountains.
Isn't the younger generation a hoot, Kimberly? They move on to the newest thing at the speed of light! I hope I run into you in Florida one day on my way to Miami or the Keys to visit Beloved's family.
There are many of us who appreciate every day both your blog and your founding of the Needlepoint group on Facebook! You are a stitching treasure to all of us. Thank you, Jane!
Thanks, Nancy. That is a lovely thing to say (but Watson wants to know if I can't be a cooking treasure instead--he's HUNGRY!).
