Santa is Still Drying
Labels:
Joan Thomasson,
Surfin Santa
Yesterday I didn't get much done on Surfin Santa. I'd forgotten that when I glued the hanger thread to his hands that would need to dry. So I glued the gold metallic from my Joan Thomasosn kit between the stitched NP and the felt backing on each hand and left it for 6 hours. Then I added a bit more glue between the canvas and the backing so that the front and back were glued together now that the thread was added. I trimmed away the excess unstitched canvas and the felt this morning. He's waiting until I get time to start sewing on the gold thread trim around the edges, probably tonight.
