Stars: Eva Marie Saint is Done

Isn't she beautiful?  Adding the borders really makes this block look good.  The next block over is called Cary Grant.

Next up, finishing that Nordic snowman stocking!

Thanks, Glenis. I think it is one of my favorite blocks so far. Lots to go, though.

This piece is lovely, Jane. I am truly enjoying watching each square unfold. Thanks for sharing.

I'm fascinated by the difference your colours make. On the original, the N,S,E,W central "long-diamonds" are most prominent, but on yours it's the black edge and the squares outside it. I can see why you call them "wings"!
I can only imagine how much those diferences would stand-out if one could "meet" several of the different colourways in person instead of by photos - wouldn't that make an absorbing study!

Glenis, I love seeing the photos of different versions from the stitching group Sara Leigh posts occasionally. Each is different and beautiful. It is hard to pick a favorite!

Color really makes a difference in how the design works up. It is fascinating to watch, even just on my piece.
