It is not a good morning. I learned late last night that Judy Harper is very ill. Please send good thoughts out to her and her family.

About the same time there was a bad earthquake in New Zealand centered on Christchurch. I have a friend south of there and I do hope Anne, her family and her friends are well. Send more good thoughts, ok? Illness and natural disasters are, well, natural but that doesn't make them fun when they happen to your friends.

Good thoughts going in both directions.
The TV footage this morning of New Zealand certainly looked grim; hope your friend is OK.
My friend in NZ is almost certainly fine and her immediately family is as well as far as I can tell, but it's a small country. She may have lost friends and of course many lovely buildings are lost.
I am seriously worried about Judy here in the States. She isn't young and apparently is quite ill. Please keep her close in your thoughts.
