Thanks, Jane. That's very useful information. I for one am intimidated by the long and short stitch. Remember you suggested it for my turkey and I turned it down?

I remember. It's a favorite stitch of mine, particularly if done in a fine thread so you can do multiple layers to hide thin areas or mistakes.
Thanks! I have a Tanja Berlin kit to stitch that requires the long and short stitches, and this helps me get ready!
