Whether we actually stitch Halloween themed needlepoint or not, we all have seen them everywhere. I know there's a canvas you secretly love, find hilarious, memorable, or just dream of stitching One Day. I thought it would be fun to nominate our favorite Halloween canvases. Lots easier and quicker than actually stitching them! Let me start with a nomination for the oddest Halloween canvas I've ever seen--the Yoga Witch from Bongo.

I find the Dashing Devil from Needle Deeva hilariously smug. This is the full figure, not the candy corn shaped ornament in the Creeps series.

Melissa Shirley's "Pumpkin Pie" in her vintage postcard series for Halloween is a sweet and sentimental approach to the holiday. All of the little girls in the series are darling but this one is my favorite.

If you like more modern, clean designs (and have teenagers or are one at heart), you'll love Stella and Dot from Mile High Princess.

Well, enough about me. What Halloween canvases have caught your eye?

Being a Halloweenaholic it is very difficult for me to choose a favorite but there's one I fell in love with the first time I saw it. I got it and it is somewhere in my stash - maybe waiting for some inspiration. It's a Renaissance design canvas and is called "Time for Halloween"

Palma, the Halloween clock is hilarious. Can't wait to see what you do with this one!
I got a note from Ceil R. that she also likes the Halloween Time canvas, plus Tapestry Tent's tic tac toe board for Halloween and Gail Hendrix's Eeek canvas. I can't find the Hendrix canvas online but here is the Tapestry Tent Halloween game board.

I really like this canvas from Share One's Ideas, which I found on The Busy Needle's website:

I also like this paisley interpretation of a ghost by Renaissance - it speaks to my love of paisley and feminine things. The movement in this is great. I just wish it were on 18 ct instead of 14 ct:

With Ceil's help I found the link to the Eeek canvas she likes.

And there is a second color variation of Eeek.

Of the yet-to-be-stitched Halloween canvases I have, the one that makes me chuckle is "Git" by Sandra Gilmore. Seeing the black cat driving the pumpkin coach coach with the mice pulling just makes me smile.

Thanks for featuring our store in your blog! I personally love NeedleDeeva's Maria Bitchy Witchy! http://rittenhouseneedlepoint.com/index.php/maria-bitchy-witchy.html
Wow, that's a cute witch! Thanks for the tip, R. I am pleased to mention the shop whenever I can. Just wish I was close enough to visit occasionally.... I love shops.
