Scissors Just for Metallics?

Kreink says yes!

Personally, I agree with them.  Even my non-metallic Kreinik threads seem to dull my scissors more than regular threads, so I have a pair of scissors set aside just to cut metallic type threads.  There is a special type of scissors with a serrated blade made especially for metallics but since I don't do a lot of metal thread embroidery, I just have a pair of regular embroidery scissors that are for metallic threads only.  If you are interested, however, here's some information about the special metallic threads scissors.

They've also researched the originals of stork scissors.  If you are curious, read this.  Kreinik's having a scissors sale, by the way.  They are wholesale only but you can ask your local shop to order at sale prices if you hurry.

I have a pair of metallic-thread scissors that I got from Rainbow Gallery a while back and sold at Scarlet Thread. I love them and love not ruining my favorite scissors with metallics. Of course, sometimes I do forget and cut a metallic with my good scissors. Then the air is blue for a bit.

snicker....

Good to have someone report back on metallic thread scissors. Do you sell them on Scarlet Thread still? I don't see them on the website.

No, we don't sell them right now, but we may add them in the future.
