Ridgewood has put their "old" Paternayan on sale as the "new" Paternayan skeins start to arrive. It's a good time to lay in the wool for that big project you've been thinking about.

hi there
I am a reseller and I was googling for paternayan yarn and found your blog. I recently acquired 2000 skeins of paternayan 2 ply 1/4 hanks and also 16 yard 2 ply skeins. I bought out a store that was closing down. I have it listed on my etsy and ebay stores. Do you have any more informatiion on these skeins. I found lots of info on 3 ply but not the 2 ply ones. Thanks for any help you can provide. My shop link are https://www.etsy.com/shop/KnitStitchPurl.
Hello, KnitStitchPurl! I visited your Etsy store and looked at the crewel wool. I think the Paternaya was marketed for crewel and meant to be plied if used on smaller count fabrics and needlepoint canvas. I've never seen Paternaya in person myself. It looks a lot like the three ply Paternayan which was the company's primary product. Shall I post about this on Blog and ask folks for further information?
