Organizing Threads the Ridgewood Way

In this very interesting article, Vanessa explains how she organizes threads for a project and for storage after the project is done.

I use rings for storing some threads but they tend to not hold well over time and are bulky to put in a drawer.  Any ideas how to solve these problems?

I use Vanessa's method. My thread stash travels with me in a large rolling duffel about the size of small coffee table -- easily portable for me to shop my stash before buying duplicates. A friend of mine using the same system hangs her rings from open wire shelving in a closet.

Very clever of both of you. I will have to try the rings on open wire shelving the next time I have a closet with it installed. Thanks!
