Helen's working on EGA's Master Craftsman certification in color. She's doing an original design taken from a friend's photograph and needed an open stitch for water. I think what she found in a Chinese embroidery book might really come in handy the next time I have still water to stitch.

Thanks for visiting, Jane. You're the second person who liked the random cross stitch for water - surprise that it's not more widely used. Be interested to see what other effects this represents using other backgrounds and threads.
