Cross Hatched Water

Helen's working on EGA's Master Craftsman certification in color.  She's doing an original design taken from a friend's photograph and needed an open stitch for water.  I think what she found in a Chinese embroidery book might really come in handy the next time I have still water to stitch.

Thanks for visiting, Jane. You're the second person who liked the random cross stitch for water - surprise that it's not more widely used. Be interested to see what other effects this represents using other backgrounds and threads.

Thanks for the wonderful designs, Helen. Bet you could do amazing clouds with the same technique.
