Ruth O'Leary has been embroidering a line drawing copied from a leather bound book to create a slip case for the book. I know this isn't needlepoint but the cover could be made from NP canvas appliquéd to fabric and then a book case for a very special book be made up the same way.

Here is the slip case finished with the book in position.

It could be made from any material you choose. I love it!

I think you are right, Carolyn. What a delight it would be to have a special book in a case I made!
I'm so pleased you like it! I've made a few slips cases over the years, and they're a great way of making a book extra-special.
A lot of us like it a lot, Ruth. I didn't know you had done other slips. It's a charming way to protect a special book and I appreciated seeing it done. Perhaps one day I'll work up the nerve to try it myself.
