Read This Before Writing a News Article about Needlework

Franklin Habit just wrote an article full of sensible advice (that also happens to be funny as hell) for journalists writing news articles about needlework of all kinds.

Thanks for the heads up, Donna!  I'm still giggling.

You are welcome. All credit goes to Franklin, who knows his way around a pen!

Delightful, and I agree with every witty word. While needlepoint is my first love, I also crochet, knit & cross-stitch. In fact, I've (very) temporarily laid aside my np in order to crochet a lovely blanket for a dear friend's long-awaited & longed-for first grandchild (a girl!). It doesn't especially bother me when an uninformed looky-Lou calls my crochet 'knitting' or vice versa. It's another thing when said Lou calls my needlepoint 'knitting' & insists it IS 'knitting' because his "Mama did that stuff, and that's what SHE called it."
