My vote is to work on the cat next. From what I can see on your blog background, all the stitches you've chosen so far look perfect for this piece.
I think you should stitch like the wind and do some of the fans and some of the cat!
Ok, I'm working on the cat AND the lotus pillars. You two are slave-drivers!
Alternate? Cat one day, lotus the next? Whatever makes you happy!
