This isn't a new tool, a friend had one nearly 30 years ago, but K's Creation's Bench is just as useful now as it was then. Scroll 3/4 way down the page to see their collapsable footstool, that is three inches high when closed but opens to five inches high when open and locked into position. It's great for travel or just supporting your feet when your chair is too far off the floor.
