Where to Find TNNA Winter 2013 Information

I've been thinking how best to present the new products that are showing up in advance of the Winter 2013 trade show in Long Beach.   I don't know about you, but I will see something that I want to look at later but have a hard time finding it because there is just Too Much New Stuff.  Maybe it will help to create a new section on Blog where everything is listed.  Look at the tabs at the top of the page under the header.  I'll post the latest on top as new stuff appears.  Happy shopping!

Bwawk wak wak!

That's chickens talking, for you who aren't familiar with my silly animal noises.   I've been hearing about Raymond Crawford's new chicken canvases, all named after various chicken recipes, but hadn't seen them until Alex Paras put photos of the set online.  Here they are--delicious!

Latest Paternayan News

The latest Paternayan news comes via Needle Nicely, which just placed an order for the new Paternayan.  Briefly, there are around thirty colors to start, delivery of the order is expected in mid-February, and it will cost more than the old version of Paternayan.  I'm pretty sure the three plies will be all roughly the same dimension instead of the old "father, mother, baby" sizes which are useful in plying to fit a certain canvas size, but are very expensive to create.

Here are my earlier messages about Paternayan and the plans of the company that purchased the rights and the buildings and stock.  The official introduction of the new Paternayan is planned for the TNNA Winter 2013 show in late January-early February.  Shops who haven't ordered yet can do so at the trade show.

I'll email Ken at Suripaco to see if he has an update for us stitchers and shop owners.

The House I Built

Ok, **I** didn't build a house, Orna Willis did. Her newest design, available from her website in kit form or just the chart book, is called "The House I Built."  As usual for Orna, her flair for color and pattern is on full display.  There's a link in the following article to her site to purchase "The House" but I am adding the direct URL below, just in case the link in the article doesn't work.

Nutcracker Santa

Wait'll you see what Summer Louise is doing with one of those large Amanda Lawford standup Santas!  This is Nutcracker Santa and if I remember correctly, he's the mid-sized version on 18 count.  I think he's going to be a heirloom masterpiece.
