It's not often I see unusual uses of needlepoint but Rittenhouse is showing off clock faces in NP which are amazing. The designs are by Zecca and Rittenhouse is going to do a class on them.

Hi Jane! I enjoyed reading about all the new threads and have been here busily following lots of links. Just wondering if you happened to see Alice in the DMC booth? Surface embroidery info is always hard to find and I did read someone complain that there wasn't much on display so I'm wondering if they even decided to bring it? Have I told you how much I love that Temple of 1,000 Cranes??
Thanks for the nice compliment, Susan. I didn't go to the TNNA January market so I don't know what DMC displayed. Their blog hasn't mentioned Alice. Is this a surface embroidery piece?
I think samplers and counted thread techniques (except maybe not crewel) are more represented at the Nashville trade show in February (I think). This isn't sponsored by TNNA. I'll keep an eye out for Alice then, ok?

Alice wasn't in the DMC booth at TNNA. I believe she will be on display at the Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show in Los Angeles which is scheduled to be January 29-February 01. Now, that would be a fun Trade Show to attend.
