Very occasionally I need a very thin silk perle in dusty or faded shades. What that happens, I rummage in my stash for my small selection of Fibers to Dye For. When Amy Mitten (she's a counted thread repo sampler designer known for her mystery pieces) couldn't find the muted shades of thread needed for her sampler designs, she got into the hand dyed thread business. Her silks have names, not numbers, and what names they are!

Blue Murder, Inspector, Mrs. Peacock, Deadly, Sleuth, Scream Green, Forensic, Miss Marple Maple, Casket, Gravestone, Poison Berry, Miss Scarlet, Dirty Rat....
I could go on and on. The colors are actually lovely in their own faded antique way, and repo sampler designs (called Forgeries, LOL!) and mystery design fans will enjoy taking a peek at her designs.
