Falling in Love....Again

You know how I love Asian-themed canvases?  Ones that are relatively restrained without all the frilly touches or too much pattern in a small space?  Well, I've fallen for a new canvas from Tapestry Fair.  Here it is.

Yep.  I'm surprised, too!  LOL  I've caught Halloween Madness!  Oh, no!!

Tapestry Fair has licensed several other Manual Salas Day of the Dead designs.  Here is Lupe.  Peggi is stitching her with Tony Minieri's help.

Lupe has a sister called Rosa, who is more what I'd expect to enjoy as Rosa is restrained.  For a skeleton.

I am finding myself really looking forward to the new Halloween version Peggi plans!  I must be having a mid-life crisis or something.  But what the heck.  Pocito and the still to come Un Pocito de Halloween will be a great stitch.

Oooh, I adore Rosa and the attitude from that cocky hat. Must scheme a way to fit this into my projects....

Isn't she lovely? They are all great in different ways. Who'd a thunk we'd fall for skeletons?

Jane, waving from CH where we don't ordinarily celebrate the Day of the Dead

For a while, I've been eyeing the Day of the Dead kits that Chandail has. Rosa would make the perfect accompaniment. Hmmm...and we don't ordinarily celebrate Day of the Dead, either. If there's stitching, food, and fun involved, maybe we'd better rethink that.

OK, Jane, I can hardly wait to see Un Pocito stitched.....Day of the Dead is second to Halloween as a holiday for me....it makes me miss my Green Chile in NM. This may be one I have to pick up as it has my owls too...Sheena in Westlake

Aren't those owls a hoot! (Sorry, I have NO self control.) I like the little doves, too. I don't know if they will make it to the Halloween version. We'll have to wait and see.

I love green chile. The artist is in NM so maybe that is a green chile background behind Pocito?

It's going to be a fun stitch, that's for sure.
