Japanese Embroidery on View

If you are going to be in the Washington, D.C. area in the month of March 2012, and are sad that the Woodlawn Exhibit has been postponed this year, the Japanese Embassy is now your best friend. Their Japan Information and Cultural Center (JICC) is hosting an exhibit of Japanese Embroidery the entire month, put on by the Japanese Embroidery Center in Atlanta with pieces from their collection and also teacher embroideries on view.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see Japanese Embroidery in context and there is no admission charge, either.  I hope many Blog readers will be able to see the exhibit.  The details are here.

This link shows where the JICC is located.  Apparently the exhibit will be open from 9-5 p.m. Monday through Friday during March.

Many thanks to Barbara for the heads up!
