River Silks has their newsletter ready, too, with a link to instructions for making pleated flowers and a caterpillar from their ribbons.

If you want to see their largest 13mm silk ribbons in use on needlepoint, check out what Robin King is doing on her Sunflower piece. She has a nice ribbon storage system going as well.

Needlepoint Ltd. has their Garland Clubs on one page of their website. These are all made up of small ornaments from Kathy Schenkel, which are supposed to be strung on a line and hung together. I've seen the Nativity stars in person and they are both cute and small. I can see an organized stitcher getting all of them stitched in a year for seasonal decorations that are charming and fun to stitch. Follow all the links to see the models and unstitched canvases, plus various ways of finishing them for decorations.

Hi Jane,
Thanks for mentioning the Sunflower/13MM ribbon blog posting. It has been very fun to use. Have you ever used 13MM ribbons before? I especially liked the River Silks instructions for pleated flowers. I must find a way to use them some day. Thanks! Robin
My pleasure, Robin. I updated the article mentioning it on the CH Stitch Guides blog, too. I've never used 13mm ribbon before, just the 4mm and 7mm sizes. Most of the pieces I fall for have a lot of small detail and I have never needed 13mm in the River Silks. It's a lovely ribbon in the smaller sizes, however, and I am sure it is also great when super-sized.
