Associated Talent's Skeletor |

When we came back from our trip, of course everything had to be caught up on but as soon as that was accomplished, my mother had another mini stroke so I packed again and went to see her, again without Belleza (who is probably feeling neglected, poor thing). When I got home, I came down with a bad cold complicated by the historically high levels of tree pollen in Chilly Hollow. I have been sick ever since, coughing and blowing my nose, and sleeping whenever I could. So I have not stitched much in a month. Hopefully that is about to change.
I did manage to finish stitching Skeletor, whom I named Bob. That's him above. He is a sweetie and will make a fabulous flat ornament when I have time to find a good backing fabric. But for now he's going back into a drawer to stay safe until I have much more done on Belleza.

I love what you did with "Bob's" eyes.
The eyes were Serendipity. I planned to use beads nestled in the sides of the Smyrna crosses but they didn't look good and wouldn't stay put. I had found a tiny red sequin on the carpet that I put in my tool tray several days earlier, so I fished that out to see how sequins would look. It turned out to be perfect!
Best wishes for your mom.
Bob is a cutie. I hope you are feeling better soon! I hate being sick.
Steph and Karen, thanks for the good wishes. They are appreciated. Bob likes the compliment, too!
Hope you feel better soon! And warm wishes for your mother.
We love to read your blog, but make sure you get some quality "me" time.
Hugs from Critter Cove,

Bob - do you read the Harry Dresden Files?
He's very cute. My kind of guy.
Bob's a cutie! Ditto on the eyes, and I love the lavendar border. I hope you're soon feeling caught up from the travel and recovered from the cold and allergies.
Donna, we watched The Dresden Files on TV and were fans, so we've started reading the books in the series.
Nancy, thanks for the good wishes. The lavender border is just couched Petite Silk Lame Braid. It's such a pretty color and I used the darker color in the same thread for the outside purple border to add Oomph.
Judy, thanks for the good wishes for Mom and me. She's as well as can be expected and my cold is over. Now we just need for the trees to get over flinging pollen everywhere and I'll be fine again.
You have really had a time, haven't you? Best wishes for better health all the way around! Bob is a cutie!
