I have several Beanie Babies set aside for this purpose. They practically give away pristine ones at garage sales these days.
I do remember reading somewhere that BBs are made in a process that includes oil, so they should be washed & dried before stuffing, to avoid transfer to the fabric/canvas.

Good point! Thanks, Cindy. I think that's why some folks use (washed) aquarium gravel instead--or create a little bag to hold the BBs inside the stuffed animal.
