Besides the Kelly Bag

Grace Kelly as a Married Princess

You probably know Grace Kelly popularized Hermes' Kelly bag, but although most of her purses appear to have been high quality leather, she did occasionally carry a traditional needlepoint purse in her preferred all tent stitch style.   Lycette Designs found the above lovely photograph of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier and posted it on their Facebook page.  (I borrowed the photo to repost here for those who don't have Facebook accounts.)

You can see the purse better in this display of many items of Grace Kelly's clothing.  It's in the first video at the 1:56 mark.

Hello Jane - I have just a small correction from someone who loves Hermes. The Kelly and Birkin are two bags made by Hermes, so the first sentence should read "Hermes' Kelly bag." Hermes renamed this bag after Princess Grace after she carried it to hide her pregnancy with Princess Caroline. Thanks for posting this photo of Princess Grace, I hadn't seen it before. Joanne

Thanks, Joanne. I'm not a Hermes fan so I got it wrong. I'll make the change. Thank you!
