Why Vetty Creations and I Hate Pinterest

Yvette Stanton of Vetty Creations has a great post about Pinterest on her blog.  It spells out exactly how Pinterest is used to skirt copyright laws and steal from our favorite authors and designers.

Boycott Pinterest!  It's a Den of Thieves!

I agree with Jane and Yvette! Copyrights should be respected. I am in the midst of attempting to design a needlepoint piece and my awe of all the wonderful designers has gone up 100% - especially those who write stitch guides! Wow! This stuff is hard & I would be mightily ticked off if someone hijacked my hard work. If designing pieces was my livelihood, I'd be beyond ticked! Thank you, Jane, for reminding us!!

You are welcome. Good luck with your own design. Can't wait to see!

Thanks, Jane! BTW, did you know that Dover Publications offers books with copyright free designs for the artistically challenged (that would be me!). This is where I started on my journey into the unknown (ha ha ha)!

I did know that Dover has clip art type books that anyone can copy designs from. It's a nice gift for the artistically challenged (that would be ME).
