The Rumor Mill Gets It Wrong Again

Apparently a rumor is flying around that Kreinik is discontinuing their Marshmallow white color.

Nope!

And that's a good thing because this is an icy white-white and very useful!

This is a very popular color, so I would have found it hard to believe they were discontinuing it.

At Waste Knot Needlepoint, we always recommend using a size down from what you would normally choose for a metallic braid in your project. It's just a bit thicker in each size. So, for example, if you're working on 13/14-ct canvas, you'd want to use a #12; for 18-ct canvas, a #8; and so on. I don't know that it comes in blending filament size, which is what I would use if I was doing a counted thread project.

I agree. The original 032 was too iridescent for some uses, although it is a lovely and useful color. Never thought of using the canvas size to pick my Kreink weight. How clever!
