Victorian Cross Stitch Tutorial

Needlepoint for Fun has a nice article with diagrams teaching you how to do Victorian cross stitch.  The stitch rows are always worked from right to left and you work each cross stitch's leg / \ to make an X before you move to the left and work the next.  These are done in hand in a scoop stitching style.

They use Victorian cross stitch for their little panda kit from Animal Fayre if you want to see what it looks like when stitched.
