Thanks to a recommendation on NP Nation, I have links to two tutorials on turkeywork done by Sequin Lala Stitches. I've linked to her channel as there is a lot of good information there.
If you are just interested in turkeywork, watch the cut-as-you-go tutorial. (This is basically the wig stitch that you use to make fringe on the edge of a rug canvas but done over and over in rows to make turkeywork.)
