Art Deco Tree

Brenda's Needlepoint Studio is stitching the "Art Deco Tree" by Deborah Reichart from ANG's Needle Pointers magazine, the November 2024 issue.  She's going to lead this as a class for an ANG chapter so she's taking notes to make the stitching easier for everyone.  So far, it is a beauty!

Lovely work, Brenda.

Art Deco Stitch and The Makers Marks

The Makers Marks just posted this photo of Art Deco Stitch, which is described in her book.

"What book?" I asked.  I headed to The Makers Marks Facebook page and saw more stitches pictured.

I also found a fun article on using decorative stitches by Emma of The Makers Marks on the Mr. X Stitch website.

The book is available on the Makers Marks website. It is called Needlepoint A Modern Stitch Directory.

Art Deco Rugs UPDATED

Rugs aren't just coming back in style for your house--they are popular for doll houses, too. Janet Granger is moving with the times by designing rugs in the Art Deco style for those who want something period for their doll house. These are on 18 count mono canvas, but since they are worked from a chart, you could create a silk gauze version to frame for your powder room....

Just a thought, but personally I love miniature rugs on silk gauze!

UPDATE:  Janet has just released more traditional rug designs, too.
