The Surgeon Stitched

Tara found this obituary of a surgeon in Chicago who took up needlepoint as a form of relaxation from his stressful job.  It's an interesting read as Dr. Irwin Williger lead a fascinating life apart from his needlepoint.  Surgeons often turn to needlework.  Dr. Donn is a much loved member of the ANG email list always able for consults on whether surgical tools are good for needlework, for example.

I love it when stitchers turn out to be totally different than the stereotypical little old lady.  Thanks for the tip, Tara!
