In my experience, the colors are pretty consistent across the various types of Painters Threads but the texture is different, especially for the trims you couch into position.

Au Ver A Soie Goes Metallic

I had no idea that Au Ver A Soie has metallic braids, but Mary Corbet talks about them here.

The shop plans a club with more colors than what are on their website in 2018 once Au Ver a Soie has plenty of colors ready to ship to them.

Threadnuts appears to have the overdyed metallics in size 8 braid. I am not clear if these are straight from Au Ver A Soie or their overdyed versions.

Painter's Thread Colors in Silk Ribbons

Needlepoint Retailer has announced that Painter's Threads have come out with a silk ribbon. You can read a bit about the ribbons here.
