Take Care of Those Hands!

Tricia Nguyễn of Thistle Threads injured her hands again.   She's much better but she wants you to pay attention to your hands and use some of her tips to care for that essential item you need to stitch.

Thanks for the reminder, Tricia!

Tools to Tug Needles

KC Needlepoint's latest blog posting talks about two tools the shop sells that make pulling a needle easier.

Personally, I don't usually have trouble pulling a needle through the back side but if you do, tools like these from Bohin and Rainbow Gallery might be helpful.

Hand Care and Threadaholics

The New Jersey Needle Artists Chapter of ANG's May newsletter has some fun things.

I've added the tips for Serendipity Needlework's hand care (especially for those with arthritis) to the Ergonomics section on the right hand column but here's the direct link.

The other new to me thing that the chapter mentioned is the 3rd edition of Threads:  A Needle Necessity is out.  Homestead has copies and a brief summary of the book.

The book is published by Bedecked and Beadazzled.  This little blurb on their website explains the total overhaul the 3rd edition has received.  If you have to mail order your threads or you are a shop wanting the latest information to help your customers, this book is for you.
