And I missed it! But lighthouses are beautiful every day of the year.

Framed Spooky
Since Halloween pieces are so popular these days, I thought folks would like to see the All Hallow's Eve framing collection on New Creations Picture Framing's Facebook page. If the link doesn't work and you have a Facebook account, log in and search for New Creations Picture Framing. Once you find them, click on the photo album called "All Hallows Eve." It's spook-tacluar!

A Whole New Meaning for Vintage
Labels:
repurposing,
vintage
This article gives new meaning to "vintage" as the writer takes needlepoint stitched long ago and makes it up into useful items for the descendants of the original stitcher.

Ruth Schmuff
Dale (who is my twin in many ways, particularly when it comes to Acid Hands) is talking needles. I can't get the Comments to work on her blog but I am happy to publicly state that I love both Piecemaker and Bohin needles. For me, there is no difference between them except that Piecemakers don't come in as many sizes. You can even get beading needles from Bohin but Piecemakers are limited to tapestry sizes 22, 24, 26 and 28 (plus chenille needles which I like to use for ribbon embroidery). Whoops! Piecemakers has beading needles now (see second link). That makes it even harder to choose a favorite.
