And Once Again We Are Fashionable

Apparently the style now called "Grandmillennial" incorporates needlepoint and other forms of embroidery into a home design philosophy that is both personal, traditional and modern.

By the way, I took the quiz linked to above.  Apparently I am a grandmillennial despite my advanced age.

Frankly, folks, people with a style of their own are always fashion-forward!

A Review of Chameleon Silk

Mary Corbet has another fabulous review on her website, this time of Chameleon Threads, a South African brand of subtly overdyed silk flosses which use Au Ver A Soie's Soie d'Alger and Soie d'Paris as their base thread.

Visit the Needlepointer in 3-D UPDATED

Here's something you don't see every day—a 3-D tour of a needlepoint shop!  You can "walk" into their thread room, explore the current Alice Peterson trunk show, and click on blue dots to read more about certain items.

The Needlepointer in Edmond, Washington posted this.  Have fun exploring!

UPDATE:  I think I should attach a warning here.  I've heard from other Facebook group admins that some folks have problems with 3-D images. I have heard of someone with traumatic brain injury who gets bad migraines from them.   If you have vision issues or migraines, avoid this like the plague!

Fans of Erica Wilson Rejoice!

Fans of Erica Wilson's needlepoint can also rejoice as her company has a website now!
https://www.ericawilson.com

Based on Nantucket Island, the company sells Cape Cod-themed clothing as well as needlepoint, so you'll have to choose Needlework from the menu running across the top of the page to see what's available.  Some of the designs are from the 1970s, some appear to be newer.  They are available as just the canvas or kitted with threads, probably wools.  The company also does finishing.  They showcase needlepoint-covered bricks and belts on their site.

You can also buy the famous bamboo zipper pull to use on your purse, clutch, or tool tote.

European Needlepointers Rejoice! UPDATED

I've just learned about Unwind Studio, a needlepoint kit company based in Portugal. Run by Cristina Cerqueira, the company licenses designs from local artists and kits them up for your stitching pleasure.  The designs are all perfect for fancy stitches, by the way.  There's lots of room for them in those blocks of color.  The designs are also not just your average design, either.  They are much different than what we have available in the USA.
https://www.unwind.studio

The website is just being built so their Etsy store has more stock available just now.  The canvases appear to be printed, usually on 14 count canvas, but are available on other sizes by special request.  You can also buy just the canvas or have it kitted with wool or cotton floss for you.

Congratulations, Cristina!

UPDATE:  Cristina says she is working with various shops in the more touristy towns of Portugal to provide kits for needlepointers looking for something to remember their vacation by.  Hurrah!
