The Morning After

It's the day after Christmas and I'm sure we all ate too much.  So before we all take yet another nap, here are some fun holiday things to dance through your needlepoint dreams.  Robin has been decorating with stockings and with nutcrackers. How festive!

Peggi has a great idea for finishing next year's Christmas ornaments!  I bet you can pick up some holiday wine bags right now at a good price, too.

If you can't face another Christmas ornament right now but you do want something small to stitch, Squiggee has hats, sweaters and mittens that would make delightful ornaments.

And Barbara Bergsten has an idea how to avoid all the Christmas madness next year.  LOL

Laura Perin is creating new designs that are just perfect for the new colored canvases from Nature's Palette.

Finally, I have a wonderful story of a pair of rescued Christmas ornaments and a miracle for Christmas.

Hi Jane. Glad to know we all survived. What kind of pup is Watson? He looks like he might be a Golden Retriever? Such a cutie. Again, thanks for everything. Robin

Watson is a Great Pyrenees. They are sheep guard dogs, bred to live with a herd and protect them. This means they sleep in front of doorways, just in case they need to protect their "herd" and they bark a lot, mostly a warning to animals. They are not good protection against people but they do not allow wild animals anywhere near their house, which is what we want. They have a lot of fuzzy fluff for fur so they look bigger than they are, but they are strong dogs with amazing teeth that remind me of a sabertooth tiger's. Not a dog to cross if you are a bear, coyote or fox.

Watson is very cute but he will be great protection when he is older. Already he barked when a neighbor came by yesterday, just like the big dogs.

Your new baby Pyr is soooo cute - is he about 3mos old? This is a wonderful breed and I know you will enjoy him a lot. Good luck with the puppy training - Melody

Melody, Watson is 9 weeks old. He looks bigger because of all that fluff!
