Patt alerted folks on Facebook to the fact that the Busy Needle in Tucson, Arizona is closing its shop the end of this month (July). I knew the shop had been for sale but apparently none of the potential buyers worked out. The shop is starting a 30% off sale tomorrow (July 16) that will run until the end of the month. Only in stock items are on sale, so check the website for that canvas, book or tool you've been wanting.

This breaks my heart but at least the shop will live on in cyberspace as an online only shop.

Did you also hear that Ridgewood Needlepoint is closing? We got an email from Eileen Aird at the beginning of this week about it. Denise
No, Denise, I hadn't. That breaks my heart. It is a wonderful shop.
They let their web domain go and it's now for sale on GoDaddy for $48k! sounds like they could have had an infusion of cash just with their domain name!
Maybe. I doubt that many shops would pay for a domain when they probably could have TheBusyNeedle.com or something similar for much less. I suppose everyone gets to retire and owning a shop isn't exactly a relaxing or profitable job.
By the way, they sell their remaining stock on eBay occasionally.
