End of an Era

Looks like the JCA Crafts company is closing its doors. They are the source for Paternayan wool as well as many needlepoint kits.

It's a sad end.  Nothing in my opinion is better for upholstery and rugs than Paternayan wool.  However, there is nothing on their website so perhaps the news is wrong.  I hope so!

It is so sad about JCA & Patternayan. It has been difficult for well over 2 years now to get orders.

I understand that Meredith of Elizabeth Turner Collection is working on locating a new source of wool. I will let you know as soon as I learn anything more.

Thank you, Vicky. We all will appreciate hearing. I know there are several brands shops are ordering instead, but Paternayan is special to a lot of us who learned to NP with it.

That is indeed sad. JCA is the last link with all the great stuff Elsa Williams did in Townsend, MA way back when.

I used to carry a whole color range of the Paternayan Needlepoint Persian Yarn on NewNeedlepoint.com but no one, hardly, ever bought the kits made with it. I finally discontinued it.

Sad, this is all sad, it is gorgeous stuff.

It is sad, Marianne. If you still have your Paternayan, you should sell it on NewNP. There are folks who would like to hoard it for a future project.
