Elephants Under the Big Top (Needle Works' Club)

It's that time of the month--newsletters are arriving in our e-Mailboxes!  The first one I received was Amy Bunger's shop newsletter.  It is full of news, particularly about the new Tony Minieri DVDs which are about to be released.  If you pre-order from Amy, there's a nice discount on the set of three, but this is only good for a short time as they are about to be published, so hurry.  Here's the direct link to the PDF file with Amy's newsletter.

The Needle Works' newsletter is full of class information and a wonderful tip about how to tie a perfect tiny bow.  If you are a Tony Minieri fan, you can see him in action and read about the classes he will teach at NWKS.  There is also information about their very newest club, Elephants Under the Big Top, using canvases from Labors of Love.  The pink elephant image above is from their email announcing the newsletter.  I grabbed it to include here since it isn't in the newsletter.

If you fall in love with Needle Works' Circus Elephants, you might want to check out an older club by Chandail (also in Texas, what is IN the water there?!) by Kirk and Hamilton.  It's also circus-themed.  I think the two clubs would look great displayed together.

Speaking of monthly clubs, when I went to Needle House's website to see if there was any information about their Bunny Sale yesterday, I noticed they have a lovely page showing off their club canvases.  After all, their Vintage Heart series has a wonderful running rabbit heart!

Fireside has updated their website with stitched models for all six of their Ghostly Ghoul series (Rebecca Wood).  Silly and fun!

A Stitch in Time has posted photographs of their newest club, a smaller version of the Kelly Clark Nativity that Amy Bunger did as a home study a couple of years ago. Alison Hodgkiss is doing the stitch guides.  I love her three Wise Men!  If you want to see more of the canvases and read a bit about the club, Vicky DeAngelis has written about them on her blog (second link).

With the barrage of clubs that so many shops offer, I get confused.  I'm sure you do, too.  Pocket Full of Stitches has helpfully laid out the current clubs they offer.
