Pat asked if I had any sources for Wonder Ribbon, which I had heard is supplied by The Collection (they do those lovely beads and sequins). However, Wonder Ribbon is not on their website, so I went looking. Armed with coffee and my best friend Google, I found a source. You'll have to click on Next to see more colors.

I also found this brief video.

However, I need help from Friends of Blog. Do you know of other shops that have it in stock? Are you a shop owner and carry Wonder Ribbon? Please post a comment below or email me at chilly hollow athotmaildotcom. Thanks!
UPDATE: Carol reminded me that Amy Bunger's June 2012 newsletter showed the colors of Wonder Ribbon, so you can get it from her shop, too. Thanks, Carol!

UPDATE #2: Bedecked and Beadazzled carries Wonder Ribbon. Goldy saw it there her last visit.

UPDATE #3: Quail Run carries Wonder Ribbon. Susan says it is 6mm wide (compared to River Silk's narrowest 4mm ribbon which is what I use on 18 count canvas most of the time) and that it is stretchy. "It is great for veils, stockings, bags, windows, screens, edging ."

UPDATE #4: Susan (this is another Susan) adds it also comes in 2.5, 12mm and 20mm widths. She uses it a lot in her art crazy quilt pieces, including the current one. (I think I spot some in the header photo of her blog, actually.) Read her comments below for the various names it comes under.

UPDATE #5: Palma has a great source for Wonder Ribbon, a bead store that stocks all the sizes.

UPDATE #6: My apologies to Quail Run for sending them so many calls they posted Wonder Ribbon info on their blog.

Ruth has Wonder Ribbon at Bedecked and Beadazzled. I saw it there on my last trip.
Ooooo! Thanks Goldy. We have a second source!
Great! I am checking into it!
I carry all the colors of Wonder ribbon from The Collection? It is a six mm ribbon that you can twist and stretch. It is great for veils, stockings, bags , windows ,screens, edging .
Quail Run Needlework
Susan, thanks for letting me know that Quail Run also carries Wonder Ribbon. Six mm is a lot wider than I expected! (The River Silks ribbon I use is 4mm wide so now I have an idea of scale.) For those who don't know, here's the Quail Run URL. Don't miss their newsletter! And I see there's a blog now! Gotta add that to our list!

Hi Jane,
I use this product quite frequently in my work. In my current shelling piece, I'm using it to simulate the foamy waves at the beach edge. I also used it to make leaves in my Breakfast at Tiffany's and Abundance pieces as well as the waves of my tea cup boat in my Elixir of Life Bead Journal.
It started out being sold through bead stores as Italian mesh ribbon...but is now being marketed under another name called WireMesh (sorry I don't know the history). I have always bought mine through beading stores but I know Maureen Greeson of Maureen's Vintage Acquisitions carries it under the name Wire Mesh.
Hope that helps. Susan
P.S. I forgot to add that it comes in various sizes 2.5mm, 12mm and 20mm in addition to the 6mm mentioned above.
Be Stitched carries it too
I got mine from here http://shop.sonoranbeads.com/WireLace_s/163.htm
For the last clover I used the 6 mm one
Thanks, Palma! Another bead store? Great!
For those who are wondering, Palma is doing a series of shamrock shaped ornaments from Jody Designs. They are on page four of Jody V's website here.

Another source, which has it in 1mm, 2.5, 6, 12 & 20mm sizes - fusionbeads.com. Sold by the foot as WireLace Ribbon, with free shipping regardless of the size of your order. They also have a spectacular selection of Swarovski crystals & weeklybsales. My go-to online bead store.
