Labors of Love continues to add to their collection of clip on bird canvases. Britstly Thistle just posted a slide show of the three newest birdies to fly into their shop.

I'm waiting for a pileated woodpecker myself. The adults look just like Woody Woodpecker and are the size of crows with wings that are close to three feet wide when they are full grown. We had a baby fly into the garage wall this spring. It sat on the asphalt muttering to itself, then flew to the nearest large tree where it sat for a while before flying back to its nest. I haven't seen any of the pileated woodpeckers since, so I expect it survived its maiden flight and is learning to drill holes in the trees away from the house in our woods with its shy parents.
