Seeing Nimble Needle's posting about what happens in Tony Mineiri's Back to Basics classes reminded me that The One with the Mustache has several new designs that he has started to teach around the country. I did a little searching and found the Needle Works in Austin, TX has posted photos of Tony's newest fabric collage piece Slava (obviously inspired by Russian textiles) and a brand new design called Lana's Lace that is a very intricate abstract apparently in one color. I've seen photos on Facebook of this piece being worked. The person taking this class said that the piece doesn't photograph well as it is very pastel. She was working it in pastel blues and I thought it looked lovely. But don't take my word for it--go to the photos at this link and see what he has created.
