Jane, are you referring to the comment about updates in the fall? If so, it's been up at least a year. I placed an order at the first of the year 2012 because she had announced she would close at the end of the year - she unexpectedly closed without fulfilling current orders in about April of 2012, I think.

No, Elizabeth, the message on her website is new. I think it refers to the fall of 2013, not 2012. I could be wrong but I check her website occasionally and this message is new to me.
I stopped visiting her site when she stopped painting about a year ago, figuring it was sort of pointless. I don't remember seeing the message at that time. My LNS special-ordered a canvas for me right after she announced her plans to retire at the end of 2012. I was told to expect a wait, as she was only painting 2-3 hours a day at that point. Mine was among the unfulfilled orders. I now watch eBay, Canvases Begone, and Stitching Destashing for my little Martial Arts Boy, and watch the prices for her other canvases escalate.
