Fans of Ann Strite-Kurz will be thrilled to hear that her 1997 booklet Stitch Variations and Mutations has been updated and rereleased. The original was only forty-five pages with a black and white cover (above) while the expanded 2013 edition has eighty-five pages in a loose leaf edition perfect for popping in a notebook for handy browsing.

I am lucky enough to own the original version but since it has nearly doubled in size, I probably will invest in the updated edition as well. If you are hesitant, check out Ann's column in Needlepoint Now magazine to see her play with, expand and recreate various patterns for needlepoint canvas. If you like her columns, you will love this book!
