While browsing eBay yesterday I stumbled across a mention of "Petei Stitch" in this listing for a Heartstrings Santa and his Fat Cat. ???

I've never heard of Petei Stitch. I assume it is named in honor of the designer Petei (perhaps by the stitch guide writer Martha Johnson at Fancy Stitches?) but I don't know which stitch we are talking about here. Can anyone solve this mystery?
If all else fails I'll email Fancy Stitches....

There is a Petei star stitch. I'm not sure if Petei herself designed it but it was developed for the little stars you see on a lot of her designs.
