Kathy of The Unbroken Thread is off to England to take a Royal School course on silk shading. We Americans call this needle painting or long and short stitches. Kathy's going to be stitching a white flower. Here are the things she does before she actually starts stitching.

Dear Jane, thank you for the link to Kathy's blog. It was very interesting to read her journey in studying silk shading. I am taking RSN Certificate and Diploma Intensive course as well, but in California this coming Fall and it was very knowledgeable for me to read about her experience. Hugs, Natalia
Glad to help you out in a minor way, Natalia. Have fun-fun-fun this fall at your course. I'm glad Kathy's experience illuminated what you are facing.
