The Gordon Highlanders Great War Tapestry
Fans of modern needlework that celebrates the history of various regions who have a Facebook account will want to keep an eye on The Gordon Highlanders Great War Tapestry page. The page is about the stitching of a new design by Andrew Crummy (designer of The Great Tapestry of Scotland) that features the Gordon Highlanders in World War I. Mr. Crummy's designed three panels (shown above although I don't have the full image of the stag and crown) which will be stitched with 2 ply crewel wool on what appears to be linen. It's going to be fun to watch the progress.
