Contrary to what Sue says, and aficot is NOT a laying tool! It is used to smooth out or burnish your satin/Gobelin type stitches AFTER they are stitched. Mary Corbett has the correct explaination of it!
No, it's original purpose is different but I think Sue is using it the way I use the nutpick from my old nutcracker set--it works very nicely when laying ribbons.
