The latest NJNA newsletter let me know Planet Earth Fibers has a new thread called Milan.
According to this article at KC Needlepoint, Milan is a single strand thread that is half silk and half merino wool (basically a thicker version of Essentials) meant to be used on 13 count canvas.
Currently KC Needlepoint has all the colors in stock if you want to try it.
