Melita Goes to NAN 2025

Lucky Melita Glavin has gone to the National Academy of Needle Arts' seminar in Michigan and is reporting in for the rest of us.

NAN hasn't started yet so Melita visited two (The Knotted Needle and the new location for The Wool and The Floss) of the four shops in the area.

Melita met several interesting people at the opening banquet and has lots of news for us, including the fact that Diane Herrman's "Walking the Water's Edge" is being retired but the instructions will be sold to benefit NAN.  Great news!  If you aren't familiar with this design, check out the second link below.

Breaking News: Treenway Discontinues Silk Eyelash

I just learned from The Needlepoint Clubhouse's Instagram videos that Treenway Silks is discontinuing their Silk Eyelash.  Their website has the purple, white and blue still available.

Needlepoint Clubhouse just bought sixty skeins of the white Silk Eyelash.  It's not on their website yet but if your local shop doesn't carry it and you can't get it from the Treenway website, this is another source.

Card Decks and Monthly Clubs

The Canvasback has announced their monthly club for 2012.  It's a creche by Kathy Schenkel.  Each tiny figure is cuter than the next.  The second link has slightly larger figures of some of the stitched canvases.

The Knotted Needle in Grosse Pointe, Michigan is starting their very first monthly club and it is a doozy--the Monster Mash set from Labors of Love.  Click on the link and start giggling at their renditions of Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein (LOVE your hair!), King Tut and more.
